Ecosystem

Why ecosystems?

To solve the systemic challenges we are facing, we need new type of collaboration between different actors like companies, research, regulators and public operators. These groups benefit differently from working in different ecosystems. Businesses can get access to new kind of expertise/know-how/data and/or access to new markets. Ecosystems enable all ecosystem actors to share risk with others and address the challenges they cannot solve alone with their own resources.

Open Innovation

What is open innovation?

As we are facing increasingly difficult challenges like global warming, digitalization, urbanization, and ageing society, we need to address these changes with systemic solutions that require resources and co-operation beyond individual operators. Open innovation methods and ecosystems create additional value by building, coordinating, and managing R&D&I projects to construct systemic solutions, which are normally beyond the resources of individual operators.

Building the ecosystem foundation and the big picture.
